About Stair Elevator
Stair Elevator is a plain-English guide to chairs for home stairs: the names sellers use, the prices, and where to find help paying. We write for seniors and the family members who look after them.
- Our referral service is free to you. The installer who gets your request pays us a fee for it, and only the installer sets your price.
- Run by Brookside Solutions LLC, 301 Commerce Street, Suite 3300, Fort Worth, TX 76102, United States.
- Not an installer. We do not make, sell or fit lifts ourselves.

The company behind Stair Elevator
Brookside Solutions LLC, a company based at 301 Commerce Street, Suite 3300, Fort Worth, TX 76102, United States, runs this site. We write the guides and pass requests to installers.
How installers are chosen
Your request goes only to companies that fit stair lifts and say they work in your ZIP code. Each one pays us for the introductions it receives. One installer gets your request, sometimes two, so you can compare prices.
We do not visit installers, test their work or check their licenses. Before you sign, ask the installer:
- for proof of liability insurance and any license or permit your state or city needs for the work;
- which manufacturer's lifts they fit, and who services the lift after it goes in;
- for a written, itemized price and the warranty terms on paper.
Getting from your call to a written quote
- Share details about your stairs and house ZIP code by phone or in three quick online steps.
- Your request goes to one installer for that ZIP code, sometimes two, so you can compare.
- The installer phones you, comes to measure, and gives a written price. You don't have to buy it.
What we keep and who sees it
The quote form asks for your stair shape, ZIP code, name and phone number. Those details go to the installers who receive your request; we do not pass them to marketers. The privacy notice explains this, and what we record when you call us.
If you want to stop new introductions anytime, visit the do not sell or share page. That stops us passing your details on from then on. An installer who already has them keeps them, so tell that installer directly if you no longer want their calls.
Where we get prices and rules
Our guides get prices and rules from public sources, and each guide links to its sources where used:
- National Council on Aging for prices
- Medicare.gov for what Medicare pays
- Department of Veterans Affairs for housing grants
- IRS Publication 502 for the tax rules
- published price pages from dealers and manufacturers
